Nitin Aras is a senior project engineering professional with over three decades of hands-on experience in planning, designing, and executing food processing and industrial projects across India and international markets. The work has consistently focused on bringing clarity at the planning stage, ensuring that projects are engineered correctly before capital is committed, and executed with discipline to support long-term reliability, food safety, and scalability.
Experience across multiple projects has shown that most failures do not occur due to lack of
technology, but due to incorrect assumptions, weak planning, and rushed decisions. The project
engineering approach followed is based on lifecycle thinking, market-driven capacity selection,
integrated process and utility planning, structured execution, and built-in scalability, compliance, and
maintainability.
Long-term viability from concept to decommissioning, ensuring operational costs remain optimized throughout the asset's life.
Seamless coordination across all project phases—civil, mechanical, electrical, and automation—eliminating costly silos.
Future-proof designs that allow for modular expansion, helping your processing capacity grow in lockstep with business demand.
Project engineering experience spans food processing systems across fried snack processing
systems, roasted snack systems, extruded food and snack lines (including short-cut pasta), and
frozen food processing systems including French fries, patties, nuggets, frozen vegetables, and
value-added frozen products.
Beyond individual project execution, involvement has extended into the design and development of food industry incubation ecosystems, supporting startups, cluster-based development, Common Facility Centers (CFCs), and pilot-scale shared infrastructure models.
Experience includes policy-linked food processing initiatives under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), including Mega Food Parks, Agro Processing Clusters (APC), cold chain infrastructure, and FPO-led initiatives. This has included DPR preparation, EOI submission, compliance alignment, and grant-linked coordination for organizations such as Yaduka Agro (Kolkata) and Mekalsuta FPO.
Ongoing engagement continues with industry bodies and policy platforms through speaking engagements, chamber roles, and active involvement with Lions Club, contributing to CSR-oriented initiatives and community-level professional networking.
While this platform focuses on project guidance and clarity, turnkey execution and implementation are carried out through Procon Ventures, an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization, ensuring continuity from planning to execution
